Hi! Im Krista, the founder and designer of urbanite jewelry. Each of our pieces is inspired by a different world city, and designed using the city's personality, colors and characteristics.
urbanite jewelry was borne, quite literally, right out of one of my dreams. While living in the mountains of Morocco in 2007, I had a series of dreams about jewelry designs. After returning to the U.S., I began to bring those designs to life in metal and glass. One year later, I released the first piece of my collection: Tangier, Morocco.
Currently based in Ottawa, Canada, urbanite jewelry has also operated from Manchester, United Kingdom and Denver, Colorado. urbanite is committed to providing beautiful designs, quality handmade jewelry, and top-notch customer service.
I am also a co-founder of The Craft Co-Op , an organization which promotes all things craft in Ottawa. In addition, I'm the producer of several indie craft shows, including Wed By Hand , Ottawa's alternative wedding show.
